I strongly agree. I want to create checklists to operate machines. The operator has to input some measurements (say the room temperature). It would be much easier to have a task field to add a metadata embedded in the checklist to record the value

Can you send us some use cases for your request? What kind of information do want to collect in a meta data field within a single task? Why does the "Add note/image" feature does not fit your requirements?

Andreas Mauer: It is to collect more Infos on certain tasks. For example on some of the site-visit checklists we take a picture for a task, write some info in the comment field AND we want to note a date or something as deadline for fixing an issue we found.
