Inability to Access 'didit - User Settings' for Non-Hub Users
Dietmar Schuck
Issue: When access to the didit Hub is restricted (e.g., limited to certain groups), users who do not have access to the didit Hub appear to be unable to access their personal 'didit - User Settings'. Attempting to access these settings via the user avatar's context menu results in a blank screen instead of the expected settings interface.
Impact: This limitation is problematic as it hinders users from adjusting important settings, such as the 'Show Completed Tasks' option. The default state for this setting (tasks not shown) is not ideal for our workflow.

Martin Seibert Hi Martin,
I would like to emphasize that this is (in my opinion) not a feature request, but a real bug.
The authorizations to access the didit hub are an administrative matter. As a company, we want to use rules for this. (What we are currently unable to do.)
A user's personal settings have NOTHING to do with this. Why should a user need administrative rights ONLY to be able to change their personal display settings?
Do you have any plans to correct this? And if so, when?
Until then, we are not able to use the access authorizations for the didit hub.

One possible solution that we have discussed in the team is to add data checklist user settings in the profile menu of each user. This would be a rather simple solution from a technical stance. Any opinions?

Martin Seibert: That would help us for a start.
As an admin, I would prefer to have the option of setting the default for all users.
For us, I would then configure that marked checklist entries remain in their previous position and are displayed with a strikethrough.

Dietmar Schuck: I have went ahead and created another feature wish for this here: https://vote.seibert-media.net/checklists-for-atlassian/p/global-default-for-task-visibility-in-checklists

Martin Seibert: Thanks!

Additional Details: It was noted that the behavior of marked checklist entries not moving to the end is favorable. However, their default state of being hidden is considered inconvenient.
Temporary Workaround: Currently, the only solution is to include users, who need to edit these settings, in the group granted access to the didit hub.
Next Steps: This issue has been acknowledged and is scheduled for review and resolution. Further updates will be provided as progress is made.

Martin Seibert: Since all our users (who work with didit) want or need to change this default setting, this is unfortunately not a real workaround for us.
I will probably deactivate the access restriction for the didit hub for the time being.
Martin Seibert
Dietmar Schuck: Yeah, sorry.
